I have to go to the dentist today, which has me feeling rather twitchy. I know it's good to get your teeth cleaned and etc. but the whole scraping tartar thing? Ugh. I wish there was a way to remove it that didn't involve pointy metal objects. Like gum! Chewing gum that gets rid of tartar. That would be great.

(Am I imagining things, or did one of the gum companies actually try to promote something like that at one time? Hold on, let me google....and yes, apparently Arm & Hammer has a gum that whitens teeth and supposedly helps keep tartar from forming. Maybe if I chewed 600 pieces a day, it would work for me. Although I don't like gum that much. Or at all, actually.)

Anyway, enough about me and my teeth, and on to some interesting links:

Writers talk about what helps them write. Now I feel like I need a lucky pen or picture or orange or something.
