Hurrah, The Nine is back on! As far as I know, me and approximately nobody else watched this series when it aired last fall, but I loved it, and am thrilled ABC is (fingers crossed!) burning off the last few episodes.

I don't expect any sort of closure --the only show I can think of that actually provided that was the late but never *ever* forgotten Wonderfalls--but at least maybe I'll finally find out more about what happened during the bank robbery. I'll take crumbs at this point. Crumbs!!!

And now I'm off to finish Eagle Blue, a truly fantastic book about high school basketball in Alaska that you should totally check out--especially since it's now out in paperback...

I actually watched the Nine too! I was excited when it appeared back on the DVR, and I can't understand why it didn't gain a bigger audience. After all, the premise was good, and I thought the characters were great. Did you watch Six Degrees? That was another ABC show I was into (I actually preferred Six Degrees to the Nine, but my sister, who's also my roommate, disagreed) that wound up being cancelled. It's starting to feel kind of pointless to even bother watching TV shows on certain networks because it feels like they're not even giving them much of a shot. Take Fox and their show Drive (starring Nathan Fillion). That was cancelled after like two viewings. If this keeps happening, maybe it'd just be better to wait until a show is firmly established and I can just catch up with DVD's.

I didn't watch Six Degrees, but it got a pretty raw deal from abc too, didn't it?

And I'm with you on how it's starting to feel pointless to watch--I got burned so badly last season I'm starting to think this fall season I'll wait a few weeks and see what gets weeded out before I start watching...
