5 Days to Something, Maybe! (and your questions...answered!)

Thursday, March 19, 2009

You all asked some great questions:

Just in case the video doesn't show up for you, you can see it here or here

Yesterday's winner was Becky, and today you could win a copy of Carrie Ryan's The Forest of Hands and Teeth!

For your chance to win, just leave me a comment by midnight tonight telling me either--

a. what you'd like to see during one of the last four (!) days of the countdown (I've got three days pretty well mapped out, but would love to know what *you'd* like to see!)

b. what you'd like to see on this blog in general

5 Days!!!

Dear Elizabeth, I just wanted to let you know that you have two more international fans (my friend and I are from Portugal)! I read Bloom yesterday, all in one sitting, and I think it's absolutely AMAZING - the story felt so real and your writing style is wonderful! I'll make sure to buy ALL your books now :)

To answer your question...I'd love it if you gave some book recomendations/talked about your favourites on your v-blog!

Hope you have a wonderful day,

I would like to see more unusual things on this blog. I absolutely loved it when you talked about hanging the toilet paper over, not under. :)

Yay! 5 days left only! Congratulations!

I think that it would be neat if you did a question and answer with one of your characters!

Also, I like it when you explain a little more about sections of your stories!

Personally, I'm very nosy and I'd love to hear about your daily life. Not the personal stuff, but like GirlwithBrauds said - stuff about toilet paper!

I hope you keep up the vlogs after this countdown. You're clearly having fun with them and they're loads of fun to watch.
I love how you came up with Something, Maybe as the title. The best things come when you're not even looking for them =)

Elizabeth - I have yet to read one of your novels but having haunted your blog these past few weeks, I feel like I know you - STALKER!! lol

Please know that I am renewing my drive to seek your titles out here in Australia. Regardless, I think you are beyond lovely. Thank you for all the time you've put into your blogs and vlogs, we all appreciate it enormously.

Congrats on your new release!

How about an interview with the characters? Even though I never got a chance to read Something, Maybe, it would be interesting to hear from them!

I love the vlogs so I'd love to see more of those! I also think a "interview" with some of the characters would be fun. And more random facts about Elizabeth-we all seem to have loved the toilet paper thing!:)

I like seeing behind-the-scenes type stuff. Maybe a post or two on what your writing life is like. "Day in the life..." maybe... Or maybe a post about your quirkes :)

The vlogs are great! I'd like to hear just some random more facts about you. Or maybe even about a story(ies) you started but never finished? If that happened...and if this has already been mentioned, sorry I'm a little late in the game!

What if you did like more backgroung on your book. A q&A with the characters. Maybe you could more stuff about you but not to personal. Like your favorite book, authors, and other little things.

I would love to hear more about how you came up with your ideas and what other books/movies influence you. I also love to read book recommendations. I find that the ones recommended by those who write books I like turn out to be books I want to read as well. I also like to see character development posts. What you orginally intended the characters to be versues how they ended up.

Heya, Elizabeth,
Thanks for answering our questions! :D

During one of the last 4 days, I think it'd be super fun to let your characters loose to takeover and write their own blog post as a group.

In general, I think you should keep up with the periodic vlog posts. Hearing/seeing an author read excerpts or talk about their books or characters is so much more special than seeing it in text. :)

I'd like to find out more about you! Like how you got started writing. Also it would be cool if you had some quizzes that people can take to see how well they know your books and you. I love the vlogs so you should keep doing them!

I have this fascination of hearing what authors are reading! So maybe once a week you could talk about what your reading currently, what you plan on reading, or what you just read and maybe some recommendations too!

I love hearing what books authors have to recommend to readers. Consider it a more intensive version of the author blurbs that sometimes appear on books. :) I'd love to hear your suggestions of good books to read!

I would love it if you gave some good book recommendations or talked about who your favorite authors are! :) I mean, if you write good books, it must mean you read good ones too, right? Haha. Can't wait till the Something, Maybe release!

I'd love to see more vblogs like this. Seeing you showing off the cover is always fun ^^ Well, I also want to see your handwriting...maybe you can write down some message to us and scan it up? If you can draw it'll be cool to see you sketching the characters too.

I have the weirdest ideas ever haha.

Dear Elizabeth Scott,
I'm so in love with your books, it's slightly creepy. THAT i've related something to it so much (no, my dad doesnt dress in a bee costume nor my mom steals) but, everything that you write, i'm so stunned! I haven't read such an amazing book in such a long time. I've seen my favorite authors (Sarah Dessen & Susane Colsanti) on your book, & i'm so jealous! So, THANK YOU, THANK YOU so much for writing & being so incredible!
