Love You Hate You Miss You and bookwish contest (today ONLY!)
Tuesday, May 26, 2009
I saw Love You Hate You Miss You in a few more bookstores this weekend, and even got some pictures of it elsewhere (special thanks to Amber for her *awesome* photo of the book at her local Barnes and Noble)--so I think it's safe say to say that Love You Hate You Miss You is out in the world!
Here's the beginning of it (for feeds that strip links out, you can see it here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vgnksqSAk60)
It's very exciting and a little sad for me to have the book come out--exciting because I sold the book in 2005 (!) and it's finally really here (yay!) and a little sad because I wrote it when my life changed in a lot of ways and although some of them are amazing (I never thought I'd be published, EVER!), some of them are more bittersweet.
But then, I think that's how life is--a mix of good and bad, and I wouldn't have it any other way.
All right, I'd have more cake added. But hey, who doesn't like the idea of life with more cake???
One last thing--since it is release day, I feel like I need to celebrate a bit, so tell me what currently published young adult novel you'd like to read--and why--and you could win that book! As I'm getting ready to go to New York, this is going to be a short contest, so tell me about the published young adult novel you'd like to read by midnight TONIGHT (the 26th) and then I'll pick five names at random and each of those people will get the book they want.
And that's it! Can't wait to read what you all are anxious to read, and I hope you enjoy the start of Love You Hate You Miss You

Happy release day, Elizabeth! I can't believe you sold it back in 2005. Wow!
A YA book I'd like to read at the moment is Carter Finally Gets It by Brent Crawford. I hear it's really funny!
Happy publish day!!!! Wow sold in 2005, but it's good that your life changed in a lot of good ways. Let's see... the YA book that was just published that I want to read is... City Of Glass by Cassandra Clare. I really want to see how it all ends and Jace is hiarious.
Congratulations Elizabeth! I love this cover; it's breathtaking! Can't wait to see it in my local store.
At the very tip-top of my list is DULL BOY by Sarah Cross. It sounds like a great superhero story!
I love the vblog, the excerpt sounds good but the sight of the real book excites me more. It's so cute.
A recently published YA novel I'd love to read is This Is What I Want To Tell You by Heather Duffy Stone. Everything about the book is intriguing.
Anyway, happy release day of Love You Hate You Miss You!
My pick would be Something Maybe by You! I'm not trying to suck up, I swear!
Congrats, Elizabeth! This is so exciting, for you and for me, as a reader. Is "Storm Glass" by Maria V. Snyder considered YA? I'm pretty sure it is. If so, I would love to read that book because it follows another character from her "Study" series, which I fell in love with. I can't wait to continue the story through the eyes of another character and to get back to the society I loved since the first book. As magic is still included in this story, I can continue to get my fill for fantasy, and I'm sure there will be romance. Who doesn't love romance?
If this isn't counted as YA, I can't wait to read "Swoon" by Nina Malkin. Another supernatural book, with the promise of romance (both of which are highly addictive) and it can keep me going until your next book comes out (I've already got "Love you, Hate you, Miss you"!)

Congratulations on the release of Love you hate you miss you:) I've been looking forward to reading it, it looks amazing and although I want to win it too, I want to buy it for myself:D So my pick will be Twenty Boy summer by Sarah Ockler because I love that it's about love, loss and friendship not to mention the cover looks wonderful:)
Happy release day! :)
I'm waiting (and not very patiently!) for Sarah Dessen's Along for the Ride, and Sara Zarr's Once Was Lost, but both of those aren't yet released. So I will have to say The Chosen One, by Carol Lynch Williams.
I'm also really looking forward to reading Love You Hate You Miss You now that it's out. I think the blurb that said "reminiscent of J.G.'s Looking for Alaska" is the one that totally hooked me before I even read about the book, lol. Anyway, congrats again on your book launch!

The book I would like to read now is Being Nikki by Meg Cabot. I've read Airhead but haven't been able to get that one because I have to buy my cat's food and litter.

I REALLY want to read Hunger by Michael Grant! It is the sequel to my favorite book of 2008, and I've been waiting for it to come out for a year, and it finally was released today!!! I didn't have access to an ARC, so I've watched as other bloggers review it, and all the reviews make me want to read it more!

Release day is so exciting!! I can't wait to go buy the book.
The YA book i want to read right now is Need by Carrie Jones. I see it everyday when I work at Barnes and Noble, but I've only ever read the back cover. Just those short lines have intrigued me. :)
