my hair isn't frizzy. (I know. I'm not sure I believe it either.)

I finally broke down and got the Brazilian Blow-Out thing done for my hair. I admit, I was a little skeptical (having tried every frizz-reducing tonic, cream, lotion, etc. out there and NEVER seeing any results tends to make you a skeptic) but it totally worked. It supposedly lasts about three to four months and I intend to fully enjoy it for as long as it lasts. Because look:

Before (aka my hair as it always looks, or "hey, I see this blond puff thing about a mile away--it must be Elizabeth!"):

And so this post isn't ALL about me: congrats to Cindy, who won last week's contest!

Also, thanks to all the authors who chimed in about the differences between ARCs and finished books

Wow, I can't believe it worked that well. My hair is the same as yours. It takes about two hours to get it looking good, but yours looks SO GOOD now. I'm jealous. How much was it to get it done? The results look really good! :)

How much does it cost to get it done? Have you ever had your hair straightened before? My sister has curly hair and got it straightened once (paid $80) and it lasted a day. And they even redid it for free and it only lasted a couple days. So I'm wondering if this might work for her. Your hair looks great, by the way! ;)

Wow it sure worked well! Is the a product or did you go to the salon to get it done? I am so envious of your hair now. It's so shiny and smooth! =)

Wow, thanks everyone! I haven't had my hair straightened before, and I had the Brazilian Blow-Out done--they have a website and salon locator. The cost varies depending on where you live and how long your hair is but I have to say it is totally worth it. My hair is so soft and smooth and for the first time ever, I don't look like something exploded in my hair! :-)
