Wow, this has this been a long week. I can't believe it's only Wednesday. Actually, all of September seems to be just crawwwwwwwwwling by. So today I think it's time for some fun, and yep, that means:

My baby girl said "Dada" for the first time!!
I celebrated my 23rd birthday, my husband (unemployed for 4 months) has a job interview (finally), and I got 15 books last week between the library and bookstore!!
My awesome sister got the lead role in her high school play (Falstaff in The Merry Wives of Windsor!) and had an editorial printed in the Washington Post on the same day. Hooray!

I got The Lost Symbol from my library the day it came out (yesterday)and got to read it right away. After waiting so long for it to be published!

aside from hearing that there's an ARC of scott westerfeld's new book up for grabs, just had a visit from an old friend and was in town for my newest nephew's birth. oh, and recently celebrated my first full year as a professional librarian!
After have a huge swollen lymph node in my neck for almost six months, it's FINALLY going away!!! Finally got to read Catching Fire (amazing)! My niece came to stay with us from Colorado for two months!

My older sister told me that if she has to, she'll save her own money to help send me to graduate school, no strings attached. So the best thing that's happened to me in a while is that my sister has shown me once again how it is possible to love someone unconditionally- with no questions asked...and no strings attached.
A long time friend who I hadn't talked to in over a year called today. We talked and scheduled a date and time for dinner next week. Fun!!!

The best thing that's ever happened to me: i moved away from CA to NC--that's across the country!! i left my best friend from birth behind. six months later, he shows up at my house--he moved here too! him and his whole family. i'd never been so happy in my life. to this day, even though he lives a few hours away, he's my best (and only true) friend.
Ooh I knoww. All week long I've been thinking it's a day ahead of what it really is.
But the best thing that happened to me lately is that I made a new friend :) I've had no social life whatsoever for the past couple of years so this makes me really happy.

My sister is having a baby! I am so flippin excited i wanted to scream! I will have three now! i am greatful for the other two...me and my sister Marcia are like two peas in a pod! AND i am the GODMOTHER! that totally made my whole day like totally turn around!
The best thing that's happened recently? In all honesty, it would have to be walking in to school yesterday, half asleep, when a car behind me drove past blasting "I Gotta Feeling" by Black Eyed Peas, it totally made my day :)

Saturday night I went to an awesome festival day of concerts with my best friends. After, we weren't ready for the fun to end, so we blasted some music from my friend's car and danced around in the parking lot. It was an amazing time!

Today me and my best friend and my two other friends won the "archtype hero" campaigne in our English honors 1 class. The class took a vote and they thought our presentation was the best. I wrote the speech, so I feel really accomplished. :)

Bestest thing—I recently signed with my dream agent!
I finished the Chicago Triathlon. I was the 61st-slowest person out of 4300 to complete the Olympic distance, but, hey, I finished.
The best thing that's happened to me lately is my dentist found an infection in my tooth that's been there for 2+ years. Sounds like a bad thing, but it's actually good because I've been sick all that time and no one could figure out why. AFter they got rid of that infection, I've felt better than I have in years!

I found out i could win an ARC Levithan.
That is just amazing.
and i realized that i've read fourty four books this year. ten of which are scott's.
Was a bridesmaid in friend's wedding that I helped by also being the wedding planner for. Plus I also made the invites, programs, gives, etc. I basically got to help plan and organize her entire wedding with her.
My aunt flew into town from England and we went to the huntington library. I loved it there. I freaked out because there was a copy of the gutenburg bible and the 13th amendment. It just about amazed me that the document in front of me had changed the course of history. I definitely geeked out. And then the gardens...oh the gardens. It was enough to take my breath away. So amazing.
Scott's Uglies Series has just arrived, I'm going to Six Flags today (tonight) and I move into my new apartment this weekend!
I lost my full-time job. This is good only because my workplace is being affected by the G20 Summit (they have decided to stay open) and now I don't have to deal with crazy protesters and traffic and security issues. :)
...and my boss at my part time job said she could give me a few extra hours for now.
I refuse to let losing my full time job get me down because something better is around the corner. :)
I surprised my best friend with a musical soundtrack that she has been looking for - while riding in her car, I told her not to look at the cd for a second while I popped it in. Her reaction was priceless! She was completely surprised and we sang along to the songs for the rest of the day :)
I finished Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins, and it was AWESOME!!! It's been too long since I've read a series this addicting, not since the Uglies series really! Katniss reminds me a lot of Tally, Peeta of Zane and Gale of David lol. : )

I just found out that I get to fly across the country next month to Arizona to help my sister move back home, and that I also get to go to a real zoo for the first time ever and maybe see the Grand Canyon while I'm out there.
I got a new puppy! :)
Went to Walden Pond and geeked out Thoreau style and taught my parrot to fist bump. Also discovered clotted cream.
I have been unemployed since Feb of this year and have been getting bored and then these fantastic things happened.
1) I got a job!
2) I got to go away for a week to take a break from life and have a renewing of self to face the work world again

First thing that comes to mind- falling asleep last night after watching a marathon of X-Men: The Animated Series, having the most adventurous dream I've had in a while, involving Wolverine, Sabretooth, and a few I invented, some epic battles, crazy missions, and a really intense game of mutant hockey. It all ended with Wolverine asking me to homecoming. May have been a dream, still the best thing to happen to me in a LONG time.
My subconscious is cool.
I saw the musical, "American Idiot," based on the Green Day album. Fun!

We started an off-the-barre variation en-pointe in my ballet class... I'm fifteen years old with nearly-flat feet and in a class with girls four years younger than me, but it was still the best moment in the world.
I discovered "A Very Potter Musical". O_O It is amazing!! I can't get the songs out of my head. Look it up on Youtube!!!!! :D

Hmm, best thing that happened to me this week was..... finally getting over a cold that had bugging me for almost 5 days non-stop. :)
I had just left my house when I saw a guy from high school, on whom I have a mildish crush, riding his freakishly long skateboard. As he crosses the street he wipes out on the grass, so when I got to the intersection I (uncharacteristically) waved at him. He smiled and have a sheepish wave back, with a look of mild confusion. Surprising people is my favorite. Really, that moment made my day.

Yesterday for the first time ever, my teacher admitted she was wrong. . I had done three assignments and turned them in but they had showed up as missing. As such, I was not supposed to pass the class. . . This would've meant missing my play! She showed me the three assignments today and stated she had lost them. As such, I am still in the play. Yeah, it isn't a lot, but I was practically crying with joy for justice in the world.
Lots of great things have been happening! I got to meet (and hug) Johnny Depp, I've been making friends with some great authors, and I just celebrated my 10th anniversary with my boyfriend. :)
