Quick reminder: don't forget to enter this week's contest--it's all about surprises!

Pimp My Novel answers reader questions (some great ones are in there, so check it out!)

And...Pimp My Novel answers even more reader questions! (And again, lots of good stuff in here)

Nicola Morgan on writing myths, which springs off this blog post.

Lynn Viehl talks about National Novel Writing Month, or NaNoWriMo, and offers tips

NYT Bestselling author Aprilynne Pike writes about firsts--first agents, first book deals, and the expectations we set for ourselves. It's an interesting post, and her advice about writing another book is spot on.

Dean Wesley Smith on authors and marketing

Finally, just many of you are NaNoWriMoing this month? And how's it going? (I've got my fingers crossed that your answer is "super!")

This is my first official year at doing NaNoWriMo. (I found the site in its final week last year.) So far my word count is at 5,472. Since I have today off, I plan on kicking some butt and writing until my fingers go numb :)

Super slowly I'm afraid. But now the baby is over his cold I'm hoping I will get some nap time writing done Maybe I should be doing that now rather than reading blogs! But then I'd have missed all these great links Thanks for those and the contest :)

I'm doing my first NaNoWriMo, but not my first full-length novel, and not my first in 30 (or less) days, so I'm really having fun with it and not worrying about matching the word count every day. I'll get to the goal--if not pass it--by the 30 day mark or sooner ;)

my book is called "whispers" and it's my first paranormal, so we'll see how it goes. it's so cool so far... i'm annoyed though because i don't know what's going to happen. Blake won't tell me...

It's my first year doing NaNoWriMo, and i have around 8000 words. I know it's crap, but that seems to be just fine. :D

This is also my first year NaNoWriMo-ing... kinda. I've never done it before, but I'm kind of doing it in more than a month. I always write, but I didn't want to turn this into a stressful thing (since this is my last semester of college!) so I'm just writing everyday without pushing for the 50,000 word goal. :)
